This year the Rainbow Democrats are aiming to raise $1,800 for Zebra Coalition!

On June 2, 2021, the second day of Pride Month, Gov. Ron DeSantis vetoed $50,000 meant for Zebra Coalition. This money would have transformed part of the old Daves Park Motel in Orlando into housing for 35 homeless youth. Ron DeSantis denied Zebra Coalition this money and denied LGBTQ+ homeless youth in Central Florida the help they readily deserve!

That was not Ron DeSantis’s only attack against LGBTQ+ youth this year. Ron DeSantis signed a law that stripped students of their rights as individuals and banned transgender and non-binary youth from participating in K-12 and collegiate sports. These actions could cause millions of dollars in economic damage and ultimately cost the lives of LGBTQ+ youth growing up in Florida.

We cannot let Ron DeSantis and his homophobic and transphobic agenda continue to harm LGBTQ+ youth. Would you please donate whatever you can to help Zebra Coalition in its mission?

Zebra Coalition is a network of organizations that provide services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and all youth (LGBTQ+) ages 13 – 24.

The Coalition assists young people facing homelessness, bullying, isolation from their families, and physical, sexual, and drug abuse with individualized programs to guide them to recovery and stability. You can find out more at zebrayouth.org.

We will be donating half of the money raised in this fundraiser to the Zebra Coalition. The other half will go to helping the Rainbow Democrats achieve its ongoing Mission, Vision, and Objectives.
