Bakari Burns is an Orlando native who grew up in District 6 and is a graduate of Orange County Public Schools. He holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Healthcare Management & a Master’s in Health Policy & Management from Florida A&M University. Mr. Burns has a proven record of helping improve the healthcare of citizens in his community by becoming the CEO of The Healthcare Center for the Homeless, Inc. (also known as Orange Blossom Family Health). Orange Blossom Family Health provides services that include working with the Zebra Coalition to find Bridge housing for LGBTQ+ homeless youth. It is with his willingness to advocate for protections for LGBTQ+ homeless youth, and improve the healthcare conditions in our community that the Rainbow Democrats give our full endorsement of Bakari Burns.
The choice is clear, on Tuesday, December 3, the constituency of District 6 should elect Bakari Burns as their next City Commissioner.
