Rainbow Democrats endorse candidates for Orange County Soil & Water Conservation

October 5, 2020 ORLANDO, FL – Today, the Rainbow Democrats caucus have announced their endorsement of the candidates for the Orange County Soil & Water Conservation groups. Rainbow Democrats President Brandon Nelson issued the following statement on the Caucus’ endorsement:

We have an opportunity to elect the most progressive group of soil and water conservationists in Orange County. As these positions are not paid elected positions, each of these candidates would be doing the work to ensure we protect our soil and water and our environment as a whole with no financial benefit. They would also be the most equality-friendly candidates if elected, as some of them identify as members of the LGBTQ+ community. They will be good stewards in our community for our environment.

Climate change is an existential threat to our planet, and all of our endorsed candidates acknowledge this and are committed to ensuring that we address this defining issue of our time head-on, starting by ensuring we have safe access to clean soil & water.
