Today we remember the lives lost in the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Lives from all walks of life were taken that day and showed the true face of America. It reinforced our countries saying given by our founders, “E Pluribus Unum” (Out of Many One). Which makes us unique in the history of human existence and what makes us uniquely suited to address all things. Even then they understood that no matter where you come from, what your religion is, or political background, we are united under a common purpose through the US Constitution and the promise America brings to all those who are born here and those who migrate here. Are we a perfect union? No. Are we constantly evolving to keep moving in the direction of a perfect union? Yes. I leave you with this quote.
“It is the struggle itself that is most important. We must strive to be more than we are. It does not matter that we will not reach our ultimate goal. The effort itself yields its own rewards. Diversity contains as many treasures as those waiting for us on other worlds. We will find it impossible to fear diversity and to enter the future at the same time” – Gene Roddenberry, Creator of Star Trek
